NHS Frimley and Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire & Berkshire West ICBs Joint Transition Programme
Help Shape the Future: Staff Engagement for the New Thames Valley ICB
Welcome to the staff engagement hub for the development of the new NHS Thames Valley Integrated Care Board (ICB).
As part of the joint transition between Frimley and Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire & Berkshire West (BOB) ICBs, we are inviting all staff to contribute to the design of an operating model for the new organisation.
This is your opportunity to help shape the new Thames Valley ICB, an organisation that will be designed to strategically commission services for our population, using data, evidence, and local insight to improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities. Your voice matters.
The new Thames Valley ICB will:
- Operate within a tighter financial envelope (£19 per head)
- Focus on improving population health and reducing inequalities
- Be shaped by data, evidence, and local insight
- Require new ways of working across teams, places, and partners

What next?
The insights you share during this engagement period will help shape the thinking behind how the new organisation will work—its purpose, priorities, and ways of working. A formal staff consultation on the proposed organisational structures and roles is planned to launch on 29 September 2025. This will be your opportunity to give feedback on the proposed structure of the new ICB, including how teams are organised and how roles are defined.
